Description
An additive is used to control the setting time of concrete in different temperatures, extending it up to 24 hours or more, allowing easier working and compaction.
Advantages
- The Consumption can be safely increased or decreased as needed without affecting other properties of the concrete.
- No need to change the concrete mix design, as the additive does not significantly alter the workability or strength of the concrete.
- It has a white color with high transparency, preventing color variation on the concrete surface, unlike other additives.
Applications
- Producing concrete free from joints and cracks caused by shrinkage, making it suitable for dams, bridges, and swimming pools.
- Adding to concrete for use with pumps and conveyors, especially in hot weather and over long distances.
- Essential for pouring concrete in hot climates.
- Critical for use in slipform construction.
Consumption
From 0.5% to 1.5% of the cement weight, added to the mixing water. Site tests are conducted to determine the appropriate Consumption based on temperature and the required setting delay.
